Affi Lande 2-Day Trail Run (pet friendly)

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

Join us for our second pet friendly, 2 day trail run at Affi Lande Boutique Guest Farm, Fouriesburg in the Free State.

The theme for this year’s race is Oktober Beer Fest!  The weekend will be filled with lots of trail running options, food, and drinks to keep everyone entertained.

Saturday evening will be the official Beer Fest Themed Party for everyone to enjoy.

Online entries up until 25 August 2023 will include an event t-shirt.  All entries thereafter will not qualify for the event t-shirt.  So make sure to get your entries in before the due date. No event tshirts will be on sale during that weekend.

All participants will also receive an event medal on the Sunday after the 2 day race has been completed during the event ceremony.

The top 3 male and female overall finishers (these are the people who’s times for day 1 and 2 put them in overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for the weekend) for each of the 3 challenges will also receive specially designed placement medals during the awards ceremony on Sunday.

Online entries close at midnight on 20 September 2023.

Challenge entries will still be accepted at the venue on Friday, 29 September 2023 during the registration time between 16h00 till 20h00, but please note that these entries do not qualify for the event t-shirt.

Rebel Route (pet friendly) - R480:

Saturday - 10km

Sunday - 5km

Cradle Rock (pet friendly) - R520:

Golden Pass (not pet friendly) - R600:

[No under 13yrs allowed. Over 60yrs - R470]

Saturday - 21km

Sunday - 15km

SINGLE DAY ENTRY OPTIONS:

Saturday: 5km (R110), 15km (R150) or 21km (R170)

Sunday: 5km (R110), 10km (R130) or 15km (R150)

Single day entries do not include the official race t-shirt and specially designed race medal.  However, each entrant will receive a special one day finisher medal.

For online singles day entries only, race t-shirts can be ordered additionally at R250 each.

PET FRIENDLY RULES:

• Dogs are welcome on the 5km, 10km and 15km routes.
• Please note that it is STRICTLY ON LEASH, as it is a working farm with live animals along the trails.
• Only dogs taking part in the trail run may be brought to the venue.
• There won't be people available to look after your dog while you are out on the trails.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE AND TIMES:

Friday - 29 September 2023:

• Registration opens at 16h00 till 20h00 for collection of t-shirts and timing bands.
• The restaurant will be open for dinner and drinks at your own cost.

Saturday - 30 September 2023:

• Late registration and on-the-day entries will be open between 06h00 till 06h40
• Race briefing will be held at 06h50
• The Golden Pass Challenge entrants will start at 07h00
• The Rebel Route and Cradle Rock entrants will start at 07h10
• Food and drinks will be available at the venue for the whole day.
• You can also book your dinner at the Affi Lande Restaurant for the Saturday night Beer Fest.

Sunday - 1 October 2023:

• On-the-day entries and upgrades/downgrades will be open between 06h00 till 06h40
• Race briefing will be held at 06h50
• The Golden Pass Challenge entrants will start at 07h00
• The Rebel Route and Cradle Rock entrants will start at 07h10
• Medal awarding ceremony will take place from 10h30 till 11h30
• Check-out and departure from 12h00
