De Voetpadkloof 2-day Trail Run (pet friendly)

Join us for our 2nd pet friendly, 2-day trail run in Mpumalanga at De Voetpadkloof Resort.

DATE:  6 - 7 June 2025

Doggy Challenge (pet friendly) - R320:

Ribbok Challenge (pet friendly) - R500:

[Under 13yrs and over 60yrs - R400]

Saturday - 10km

Sunday - 5km

Koedoe Challenge (Pet friendly) - R600

[No under 13yrs allowed. Over 60yrs - R460]

Saturday - 15km

Sunday - 10km

Wildebees Challenge (NOT pet friendly) - R700:

[No under 13yrs allowed. Over 60yrs - R500]

Saturday - 21km

Sunday - 15km

Challenge entrants will receive their event item during registration at the venue on race weekend.

SINGLE DAY ENTRY OPTIONS:

Saturday: 2km Fun Run (R80), 5km (R230), 10km (R260), 15km (R280) or 21km (R300)

Sunday: 2km Fun Run (R80), 5km (R230), 10km (R260) or 15km (R280)

The online single day entry fee includes the venue entrance fee for the day as well.

Please note that spectators will still have to pay the venue entrance fee during registration if not taking part in the trail run/walk as well.

Earn Discovery Vitality points as well for each day’s distance completed.

**** IMPORTANT PET FRIENDLY ARRANGEMENTS AND RULES ****

Please note this venue is not a pet friendly venue in general.

It is a special arrangement that was made FOR THIS WEEKEND ONLY to allow our trail runners/walkers to come and enjoy this beautiful landscape with their four-legged friends as well.

Very strict rules will be applied during the weekend, as all dogs will have to be kept on leash at all time due to all the wild life roaming around at the venue.

There are also Baboons roaming free at the venue and therefore necessitates the on-leash requirement for all dogs.

Non-adherence to this rule will be subjected to a R1 000 fine and you might be requested to leave the establishment without any refunds.

PET FRIENDLY RULES:

  • Dogs are welcome on the 2km, 5km, 10km and 15km routes only.
  • Please note that it is STRICTLY ON LEASH, due to all the wildlife and baboons roaming free at the Resort.
  • Only dogs taking part in the trail run may be brought to the venue.
  • There won't be people available to look after your dog while you are out on the trails.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:

  • The weekend will be filled with lots of trail running options, food, drinks, activities at the venue and music to keep everyone entertained.
  • There are also a lot of activities available at the venue to keep you entertained.
  • The venue also have a Spa available - so make sure to book your massage or treatment well in advance to avoid disappointment.
  • Saturday evening there will be a Social Bring & Braai available. so make sure to join us for this great night socialising with other participants as well. Make sure to indicate if you will be attending when entering online, this is not included in the entry fee.  Braai packs will be on sale at the resort shop or you are welcome to bring your own meat to braai. The venue will have Pap & sous and salads on sale to accompany your braai meat. Please also bring your own braai utensils as this will not be provided by the venue.  Crockery and cutlery will be available, as well as a cash bar.
  • Online entries for the 2-day trail run, up until 16 May 2025,  receive a Revolution Trails Event Item.
  • Online entries close on 3 June 2025.
  • Stage Run and Single day entries will still be available at the venue on Friday night during registration as well as on Saturday and Sunday mornings during registration.
  • All entrants will receive a specifically designed medal at the end of the two days.
  • The top 3 overall male and female finishers for each of the 4 challenges will also receive a special medal during the awards ceremony on Sunday morning at 09h00.
  • These 3 finishers will be determined based on the results of the 1st and 2nd day times.
  • Single day entrants do not qualify for this.
  • There will be 4 different challenges to choose from of which three will be pet friendly.
  • Online Race entry fees include the venue entrance fees as well, if you only enter at the venue, you will have to pay the entrance fee to the venue directly, but this will be deducted from your online entry fee.
  • For online Single day entries, the price includes the day visitor fee at the venue as well.
  • However, all other spectators will be required to pay the venue entrance fee at registration at the venue.

ACCOMMODATION:

Entry fee does not include accommodation.  To book your accommodation at the De Voetpadkloof Resort, we recommend securing your accommodation for the weekend at De Voetpadkloof Resort as soon as possible, before they are fully booked.  There will be a lot of accommodation available at the venue, such as 10 Log Cabins, 10 Chalets, 17 Safari Tents and 60+ campsites! Various other accommodation options are available in around the race venue if you are not able to secure your accommodation at De Voetpadkloof Resort directly.  Please make sure to indicate you are booking for the stage run weekend, as the entire venue has been reserved for race participants.

WEEKEND SCHEDULE AND TIMES:

Friday - 6 June 2025:

  • Registration opens at 16h00 till 20h00 for collection of timing cards and race item (where applicable).
  • The bar will be open for drinks at your own cost and a food vendor will be available as well.

Saturday - 7 June 2025:

  • Late registration and on-the-day entries will be open between 06h30 till 07h20
  • Race briefing will be held at 07h20
  • The 21km entrants will start at 07h30
  • The 15km entrants will start at 07h35
  • All other distances entrants will start at 07h40
  • Food and drinks will be available at the venue for the whole day.
  • Bring and Braai at the venue that evening

Sunday - 8 June 2025:

  • On-the-day entries and upgrades/downgrades will be open between 06h30 till 07h00
  • Race briefing will be held at 07h00
  • The 15km entrants will start at 07h05
  • All other distance entrants will start at 07h10
  • Medal awarding ceremony for the top 3 finishers on the stage run challenges will take place at 09h00.
  • All other participants will receive their medals as they finishers.
  • Check-out and departure from 10h00.
